"Bubble car" 55013 in parcels service - note the whited-out windows - leads a class 101 triple past the Cowlairs junctions, and Eastfield depot on the right, on the 19.48 Edinburgh to Glasgow Queen St on 3.7.79. The single unit was technically a class 131 in this guise. Leonard Rogers.

Class 122 Single Car DMU 55014 at Hamilton West on April 16th 1979 seen during the visit of the Midland Railfans Scottish Rambler. The different tone of blue between the nearest cab door and the first 'passenger' door with a droplight signifies where body panels have been altered removing a window and making a double door. Through the cab windows we can see wire mesh has been fitted to the insides of the white painted windows. Hamish Stevenson.
