A Swindon built Inter-City unit (class 123) is on the through fast at Kings Norton. Thought to be taken circa 1963/64, and 1V72 should be the 5.20pm Derby to Cardiff. The station is intact with the buildings on the centre platform in use. The gas lamp is intriguing, it looks as if it is a more modern replacement for a lantern, judging by the bracket.
