Not the best quality image but a rare photo of an all-blue Class 123 vehicle. Seen at Cardiff Central on a Pompay train, as part of a half set added for strengthening around Easter 1968. Stuart Davies.

On a grey 19th of January 1973, a Class 123 Inter City DMU is seen in High Wycombe on what I would guess judging by the headcode is a Paddington to Birmingham service. The KDH Archive.

1976
The "Inter-city" DMUs had a short tenure on the Cardiff - Crewe line. By the time they were re-allocated to Cardiff they were on their last legs, and loco-hauled substitutions became common - one such set of coaches being formed from the centre cars from these sets. Here, one is dumped in Hereford yard, presumably after a failure. It looks like the Stirling - Newton Abbot Motorail is passing...! John Crooks.
