55976 Ex 51625 after a sideswipe collision with a class 313 in Camden 6/1/87. I took this the following day to assess the damage for repair. Michael Boot.

Climbing the bank out of Manchester Victoria to Miles Platting on 11/04/1987 are parcel cars 55984 and 55985. Both Derby class 127, 55984 was converted from 51639 and 55985 was previously 51619 they running now as set 914. Note an older set number 4 is also displayed, and one marker light cover is open. Class 127 55971, set number 911, is seen on Tyseley Carriage sidings on 28.06.1987 . One of the cars was labeled for Parcels and one was for Newspapers. How times change when both types of traffic have been lost. This was converted from 51597. Andy Cole.

A tidy looking 08744 had come to the rescue of a failed ex Class 127 Parcels DMU (Set 919 - M55979 & M55969) awaiting the road at the North end of Preston station on July 4th 1987. 08744 had been a regular station pilot at Preston for many years. Martyn Hilbert.
