Midland suburban lines route map in a Class 127 centre car seeing further service on the Cross City line, Lichfield Trent Valley 15-3-89. As well as the Moorgate lines which lost their service well before Thameslink opened (work started on electrifying them in 1978 so maybe the service finished then?...), the route to Barking starts from Kentish Town which ceased to run in 1981. From reading around, it appears the Class 127s never worked to Moorgate anyway as they were out of gauge! On Tour With The Class 13 Army.

Class 127 55984, set number 914, is seen inside the factory at Tyseley while undergoing repairs on 01.04.1989. This car was rebuilt from 51639, from a passenger car into a parcels carrying car, complete with roller doors. These sets normally kept to formation, but 55984's partner 55974 was scrapped early on, and on this day it was partnered with 55971. Andy Cole.
