Parcels unit 918 (55978 formerly 51608 and 55968 formerly 51637), converted from the power cars of a former "Bed-Pan" hydraulic class 127 set, sitting sadly withdrawn and awaiting it's fate at Crewe Gresty Lane sidings. Three of these ex-parcels power cars were preserved and currently (2018) all three are at the Midland Railway - Butterley. Robert Chilton.
Parcels unit 916 (55986 formerly 51627 and 55976 formerly 51625), converted from the power cars of a former "Bed-Pan" hydraulic class 127 set, sitting sadly withdrawn and awaiting it's fate at Crewe Gresty Lane sidings. Three of these ex-parcels power cars were preserved and currently (2018) all three are at the Midland Railway - Butterley. The other half of this unit, 55976/51625 is one of the three preserved examples and has been rebuilt back to it's original passenger carrying layout. Robert Chilton.

An assortment of parcels DMUs converted from former "Bed-Pan" hydraulic class 127 units stand forlornly withdrawn in Crewe Basford Hall yard on 21/Jul/1990, with 55975 (formerly 51615) nearest. Three vehicles from these parcels conversions were subsequently preserved. Behind 55975 can just be seen departmental coach ADB977191, formerly class 100 56106, which was later moved for storage at Crewe Brook Sidings and ultimately disposed of at Crewe Works in 2000. Seen on 26/May/1991, some component recovery has taken place prior to their dispatch for scrap, mainly the removal of doors. Three of these units escaped and were preserved. Robert Chilton.
