An NSE-liveried Class 108 at Stewartby on 22 June 1991. Closest seems to be 51914, with Bedford Midland on the destination blind. Stuart Mackay Collection.
Ex-works M79653 and what looks like M79132 at Derby, date unknown. On the DTCL the number seems to have been marked on the first passenger window, and the front and rear parts of the solebar have been painted in gloss black, but the rest in a different shade. Stuart Mackay Collection.
A Class 116 enters Barbican station with a Moorgate service, circa 1975. Stuart Mackay Collection.
W51307 on the end of the Monmouthshire Railway Society "The Tower Toad" railtour at Ferry Road, Cardiff, on 11 April 1987. Stuart Mackay Collection.
117 308 (presumably 51413 + 59509 + 51371) arrives into Inverkeithing station with what is likely a Fife Circle service, sometimes in the 1993-1999 period. Stuart Mackay Collection.
All change at Lichfield City Station on the 15th July 1992 where Class 117 set T302 (presumably 51360 + 59512 + 51402) has just left with the 13.22 to Redditch. The days of its semaphores are numbered, with some being dismantled and all are soon to be replaced by colour lights. Dave Gommersall.
In Network SE livery Class 121 55027, L127, is standing in for a Class 119 power car with vehicles 51107 and 59437, and waits to depart Oxford Station on Saturday the 4th July 1992 with the 17.25 Oxford to Reading 'stopper'. Dave Gommersall.
In Midline WM livery TO13/55033 is paired with T410 as they wait to leave Longbridge Station with the 09.20 to Lichfield City on the 2nd July 1992. Part of the vast Rover factory can be seen in the background. Dave Gommersall.
T414 (53921 closest) leaves Longbridge Station on the 2nd July 1992 with the 09.00 Longbridge to Lichfield City. Dave Gommersall.
T014 / 55034 stands in the centre road at Worcester Shrub Hill at 15.15 on the 21st May 1992. The indicator shows it may have been on the Stourbridge Junction to Stourbridge Town trips. Dave Gommersall.
T326 (53891 closest) has just arrived at Worcester Foregate Street at 10.05 on the 16th April 1992 with 2V09, the 09.42 Barnt Green to Worcester Foregate Street. It was unusual for the Barnt Green to Foregate Street shuttle to have a 3 car unit on it, a single 'bubble' car was the usual allocation! Dave Gommersall.
117308 (51371 + 59509 + 51413) and T303 (51406 + 59516 + 51364) leave Henwick, Worcester, at 15.05 on the 9th April 1992 with 2V23, the 14.00 BNS to Great Malvern, via Kidderminster. Dave Gommersall.
51201 + 54347 stop at Water Orton station at 12.48 on the 9th April 1992, with on a Nottingham to Birmingham New Street stopper. The platform buildings, to me, should have been listed and preserved!! Sadly they were not, and the rumour was they were falling down and therefore could not be saved! For young rail enthusiasts they were an example of the quality and detail of stations built long ago!! Dave Gommersall.
T008 (975540) waits its next move at Crewe Station at about 10.15 on the 10th March 1992. Dave Gommersall.
T321 (53854 + 59753 + 53886) leaves Droitwich Spa Station at 13.45 on the 28th February 1992 working 2M23, the 13.27 Great Malvern to Birmingham New Street. Dave Gommersall.
A Derby Lightweight DMU formed of E79029 + E79621 arriving at Derby Road, Ipswich, with a Felixstowe - Ipswich service on 27 April 1963. Image taken by Mike Jacobs. Stuart Mackay Collection.
A Swindon Cross-Country DMU on a Bude - Exeter service enters Halwill station sometime in 1965. Note the rear vehicle is a suburban car, likely Derby built. The Disused Stations website has an image of a Derby set with a Swindon car in the station, which it notes ran for some time like that, this was probably the corresponding vehicles. Stuart Mackay Collection.
Class 105 DMU set 31 at East Suffolk Junction, circa 1987. Closest is presumably E53375 with Colchester on the blind. Stuart Mackay Collection.
Class 107s (107737, presumably 51998 + 59782 + 52021 and 107726, presumably 52018 + 51986) stabled at Leuchars between Golf Open specials in July 1990. From here passengers transferred to buses for St Andrews. Stuart Mackay Collection.
Met-Camm "Lightweight" E79289 in Doncaster Works, circa 1967. This is a good example of the vinyl stickers for the BR logo and rail alphabet numbers being applied before the blue paint - they had an extra layer that was peeled off after painting. Behind is a Calder Valley car and another Met-Camm. Stuart Mackay Collection.
