Having regard to the high cost and the fact that the additive would dilute diesel fuel, it was agreed that experiments should not be undertaken, but Mr.Randle would obtain the views of the Research Department.
With regard to the filters for extracting sludge, its usefulness for rail traction diesel traction was considered very doubtful and it was agreed that no action be taken.

Noted that the proposal for the withdrawal of passenger services on this line would be considered by the East Midland Area T.U.C.C. on July 15th.
