Marylebone Residential Services Co-ordination Committee that the introduction of the full diesel service would be deferred until the commencement of the Summer Timetable on the 18th June, 1962.
It was agreed that this was the most suitable date for the introduction of the new services.
Mr.Bell stated that the enquiries into the possibilities of cutting operational costs and the examination of the possibilities of withdrawing passenger services were proceeding.
The statement (Appendix 'A') of receipts and tickets issued during June, 1961, for those schemes with less than 12 months operation, was noted.
The Chairman referred to the small increase in receipts (7.49%) for the first six months of the Leicester (London Road) - Nuneaton T.V. service and stated this matter had been referred to the D.T.S. for examination.
Mr.Bell stated the Divisional Traffic Managers at Birmingham and Nottingham had been asked for an explanation for this low increase and this was awaited.
