Set 101 306 is about to cross Halbeath level crossing outside Dunfermline Townhill depot on its way to Edinburgh on the 25th September 1982. Stuart Mackay.
Looking east at Haymarket depot Edinburgh Castle is seen on the horizon but there were much more interesting attractions for me. 3-car DMU set 101306 with its tail lamps glowing brightly in the dim afternoon light accompanies withdrawn 40162, stored unserviceable 20080 and 08764. 17th December 1983. DMU set 101306 departs from Dalmeny station on its journey from Edinburgh Waverley to Cowdenbeath one day in May 1984. Closest is likely to be 51228, this DMBS seemed to be the only consistant vehicle in the set for several years. A Class 122, still in Rail Blue livery, is the other power car with a Class 101 centre car between them. In the southbound platform is observation saloon ADM45028, it is attached to a catering vehicle. Stuart Mackay Collection.
