E50172 at the front of two three-car Met-Camm sets in March station, circa early/mid 1970s. The vehicle carries window bars on the passenger doors from its time in the north east, it would move back north in October 1975, this time to Hull. John Law.
A Met-Camm set with SC50172 on the rear waits for the signal to run through the tunnel to Haymarket at Princes Street Gardens, Edinburgh, on 26/08/78. The DMS was a recent transfer from England, hence the unpainted window frames which ScR vehicles normally had. Steve Jones.
SC50172 is closest in this view of Met-Camm DMU set 101309 passing through Prince Street Gardens circa early 1980s. Paul Redmond.
