A Met-Camm and Derby unit at Lancaster on the 8th July 1976. The Class 101 is almost certainly E50198. It was the only MBS of the batch 50198 - 50209 (that had the "stump" above the destination box) to have been refurbished by that time - ex-works following refurbishment 26th May 1976. Tim Stubbs.
A two-car refurbished Class 101 DMU at Keighley with a Leeds service on 23 March 1977. The leading car, a DMBS, seems to be E50198. Michael Mensing.

Bit of a mystery with this one ...... This is a freshly painted Met-Cam Class 101 Regional Railways 2 Car DMU set 101651 standing inside Coldham Lane Diesel Depot, at Cambridge. My notes say it is formed of 53198+54379, yet other sources suggest it is 53201+54379 - with 53198 being part of set 101652 both formed at Norwich in July 1991 ..... however this is ... 11th June 1991 - My personal belief is that the power cars were swapped sometime prior to July .... ? Nigel Mack.
101 652 (53198 + 54346) runs into Lowestoft station on the 29th June 1991. 54A South Dock.

Met-Camms at Rotherham Masborough on 1 March 1976. The three-car on the left has Hull on the destination blind. The leading car of the two two-car formation is from the 50198-209 batch, the fourth vehicle has painted window frames, and there is a tail load on the rear. Stuart Mackay Collection.
A Class 101 enters York in May 1978. The leading DMBS appears to be from the batch that marked the transition from the 4-lamp front to the 2-lamps + 2-digit headcode arrangement, which I'm told is. number range 50198-50209 Graeme Phillips Collection.
In refurbished white with blue stripe livery, a two-car Class 101 DMU was approaching Settle Junction with a Leeds to Morecambe service on May 13th 1978. The blanked over top marker lamp means the DMBS should be from the small 50198-209 batch, and although the number cannot be fully read it appears to end in a 2, so this is presumably 50202, which was a Neville Hill vehicle at the time. Martyn Hilbert.
