Dundee allocated Class 101 DMU set 232 formed of SC50234 + SC59302 + SC50290 in Perth station on Friday 22 June 1979. David Russon.
Scottish Region Met-Camm trailer brake second sets were not unusual, but four-car sets were. Sc53242 leads 101364 south through Lancaster on May 31, 1983. The TBSL and rear DMSL are presumably normal long-time partners 59080 and 53268, the set had been transferred from Haymarket to Ayr earlier that month. The additional TSL seems to be 59302. Graeme Phillips Collection.

Met-Camm set 101310 (presumably 53163 + 59302 + 51234) sits in Glasgow Queen Street station awaiting its next duty, May 1986. Gordon Thomson.
Met-Camm set 101310 (presumably 51234 + 59302 + 53163) at Saughton with the 12:22 Dunblane - Edinburgh Waverley service, 5th May 1986. Hamish Stevenson.
Set 101310 (presumably 51234 + 59302 + 53163) in Edinburgh Waverley. Undated. Andrew McConnell.
Met-Camm set 101310 (presumably 53163 + 59302 + 51234) approaches Kilmaurs station with the 11.59 Kilmarnock to Glasgow Central train on 22-03-1989. Gordon Thomson.
An ex-works 101693 (51192 and presumably 59302 + 53266) in Edinburgh Waverley on the 15th August 1992. Hamish Stevenson.
Two three-car Class 101s in Inverkeithing station on 10 September 1992. Closest is set 101692 formed of 53170 + 59303 + 53253, the rear set is believed to be 101693 (51192 + 59302 + 53266). Stuart Mackay Collection.
Two three-car Class 101s depart from Inverkeithing station towards Edinburgh on 10 September 1992. Closest is set 101693 formed of 53266 + 59302 + 51192, the far set is believed to be 101692 (53253 + 59303 + 53170). Stuart Mackay Collection.
101693 (51192 + 59302 + 53266) departs from Dalmeny towards Edinburgh on 11 September 1992. Stuart Mackay Collection.
101693 (51192 + 59302 + 53266) heads north at Dalmeny on 11 September 1992. Stuart Mackay Collection.
101 693 (53266 and presumably 59302 + 51192) at Edinburgh (Waverley) on 28/11/92. This was the Branch Line Society's 'Tay-Forth Wanderer' railtour which visited places such as Leith South, Kincardine and Westfield. Kenneth Leiper.
101 693 (53266 + 59302 + 51192) departs from Markinch with the 17:27 Edinburgh - Perth service on August 13, 1993. A week later the set would become a power twin and be transferred from Haymarket to Corkerhill, the centre car remaining and reformed into set 851. Hamish Stevenson.
NSE liveries 51208 carried Scotrail branding. Facing a 158, Regional Railways liveried 59302 is behind, they are part of set 851. Seen at Edinburgh Waverley on the 4th April 1994. Hamish Stevenson.
Set 851 in Edinburgh Waverley on the 4th April 1994. Formed of NSE liveried (with Scotrail branding) 51221 and 51208, the RR liveried centre car is presumed to be 59302. Hamish Stevenson.
Already withdrawn for eight months and awaiting eventual removal for scrapping at Springburn, 59115 sits in the depot yard at Haymarket on the evening of 29/5/94. Hiding behind the fuel tank on the right is 59302 in RR (Scotrail) livery. This latter vehicle had been removed from set 101 693 the previous August when the two power cars were transferred to Corkerhill. After spending some months as part of an unrefurbished unit, it was now surplus to requirements but would not be officially withdrawn until Jan. 1995, probably because it had only been refurbished in Summer 1992. Leonard Rogers.
