On a bright Winter afternoon, a Class 108/111 hybrid four-car DMU was arriving at Leyland with a Blackpool North to Manchester Victoria service on January 11th 1987. The leading car was Class 108 Derby Lightweight M51925, with Met-Cam Class 111 Trailer Open Second Lavatory (TSL) M59107 following, the third car was a Class 108 Centre Trailer, with Class 108 Driving Trailer M52043 bringing-up the rear.
