Swindon Cross-Country DMU set CTN600 (presumably 50664 + 50702) entering Tenby station on 25 March 1970 with the 09.35 Pembroke Dock to Whitland. Tom Burnham.
Class 120 set C600 (presumably led by 50664) seen at Llanwrtyd Wells from a passing train (a railtour?) circa 1976. Image taken by John Vaughan. Stuart Mackay Collection.
The Central Wales Line used to be operated with pairs of class 120 "Cross Country" motor coaches fitted with headlights (at a time this was unusual in Britain) because of the numerous level crossing on the line. The photo was taken on a circular "Central Wales roundabout" ticket which allowed one to travel from London to Swansea, Shrewsbury (via the Central Wales) and back to London (or v.v) for a bargain fare. I imagine this was taken (at Llanwrtyd Wells on September 16, 1978, presumably 50664 + 50702) while waiting for another train to cross. The line, from Llanelli to Craven Arms, is now known as the Heart of Wales line. Jeremy Chapter.
Class 120 DMU set C600 (W50664 + W50702) on Swansea Landore depot, 30 June 1979. Brian Daniels.
C600 (presumably led by 50664) is amongst this variety of vehicles seen at Llandrindod Wells. Undated. Tom Clift.
With a handpainted set number (349) and Bangor just showing on the blinds, this 120 departs on the back of the set from Johnstone. The centre car is a Strathclyde liveried 107, and the leading car is a blue / grey 101. Also of note is one of the large side lights is missing about half way along the 120 car. The vehicle numbers should be 53664 + 59793 + 51176. Andrew McConnell.
53664 at the rear of the 1424 to Glasgow Central leaving Edinburgh Waverley on 9th August 1986. (with 51176 and 59793) Graham Johnston.
The scene at Kilwinning station on the afternoon of 15/9/86 as the 16.19 to Glasgow (15.48 ex-Largs) departs. 53664 is at the rear of a set comprising 53744, 59558 and 53664. Leonard Rogers.
M53364, Newton-on-Ayr, 18 September 1986 Graham Johnston.
Two-car and three-car Cross-Country DMU sets in Llangadog station with which was thought to be an excursion to Shrewsbury. Taken on 9 July 1972, closest is set C600 presumably 50702 + 50664. Robert Thomas.
Class 119 DMU set C594 (presumably 51104 + 59435 + 51073) with another 119 behind and Class 120 set C600 (presumably 50702 + 50664) on Swansea Landore depot on 30 June 1979. Brian Daniels.
Swindon Cross-Country "power twin" set C600 (50702 and presumably 50664) at Pembroke Dock on a very wet 17th July 1980. Tony Watson.
Class 120 vehicles 53673 and 53664 (set 349) at the stops in Glasgow Central station in 1986. Andrew McConnell.
51176, 59793 & 53664(349) leave Edinburgh Waverley with 1424 service to Glasgow Central on the 9th August 1986. Graham Johnston.
Set 522 is formed of two Swindon 120 power cars (53744 and 53664) and a Metro-Cammell center car (possibly 59558), seen at Kingsknowe with a Glasgow Central to Edinburgh working circa September 1986. Alan Rintoul.
Labeled set 522 at this end, set 349 at the other, 53744 + 59558 + 53664 are seen near Curriehill with the 11:32 Glasgow Central - Edinburgh on the 11th October 1986. Hamish Stevenson.
