The toilet in Sc51015 - an 'intermediate' Swindon Inter-City power car (DMSL) built for the Glasgow - Ayr/Girvan/Stranraer route. A Swindon Works image - negative 5CR/138, recorded in the Works photograph ledger as taken on 18 June 1959. British Railways.
Class 126s at Ayr on September 8th, 1976. On the right is Sc51015 which had failed at Stranraer with flat batteries, 25 025 was attached to haul the set on the service. Another set is on the left. Arnie Furniss.
The Way It Was. Swindon Inter-City 126 407 arriving at Platform 11, Glasgow Central High Level on a murky afternoon. Passengers are opening doors for a quick exit on the final vacuum application. The markings and OHLE flashes on the nose of the DMSL suggest this is Sc51015 (see images on Railcar). The short stay car park to the right is gone and has been replaced by Platforms 12 and 13. Trains from these 'new' Platforms now leave via the archway. Undated negative but probably circa 1980. alicia hartman.
51015 under repair in Glasgow St Rollox works, 23 August 1981. ANDREW SALES.
Scrapper. Swindon DMSL Sc51029 (nearest) awaits its fate at Falkland Yard, Ayr. The DMBSL visible at the end of the next set is Sc51037, which was subsequently photgraphed. Railcar data suggests that the adjacent DMSL could then be Sc51015. Sunday 24 October 1982. alicia hartman.
