A GRC&W twin set emerges from Mound Tunnel at Edinburgh into Princes Street Gardens during 1962 led by DMBS Sc51120 and it seems to be in an 'Inner Circle' service. Walter Burt.
51120 + 56312 pass through Princes Street Gardens in 1965. Walter Burt.
Class 100 set 69 at Norwich in 1975 with a Yarmouth service. The DMBS is presumably 51120, the DTC seems to have window bars (from time spent at South Gosforth). John Law.
In June 1977 Class 100 DMBS 51120 and a Class 105 DTC arrive into Oakham. Michael Mensing.
E56463 + E51120 (Norwich set 69) on a Cambridge to Doncaster service passing Postland GN & GE Joint line, 30 September 1976. Phil Bevan.
A Class twin seen just south of Newport station, between Bishops Stortford and Cambridge, in the early 1970s. The DMBS (furthest), presuming it is also carrying set number 69, should be E51120. Walter Burt.
Stabled at Norwich MPD on Friday the 23rd June 1978 is Class 105 DTCL 56435, half of Norwich Set No.69. I believe from my records that the vehicle behind is the other half of Set No.69 Class 100 DMBS 51120. Interestingly 51120 was withdrawn just 6 days after this image was taken on the 29th June 1978 being scrapped at Mayer Newman, Snailwell during May 1981. 56435 would continue in service for almost another 6 years however being withdrawn in May 1984 before following 51120 through the firing tunnel at Snailwell in October 1984. Bob Woolnough.
