On 15/05/1973 class 117 set L413 passes Crayford Station on a route learning run from Hoo Junction, through Dartford to Hither Green and then (probably) Reading. The lead car is probably 51355. This was a daily run at the time. I believe that this image of a DMU on the Dartford Loop line is unique. Robert Hope.

Since the Heathrow electrification work took place this view is completely impossible with a large signal gantry erected very close to the road bridge where this was taken from. 10tn May 1988.
