A four-car DMU Met-Camm near Darlington with Leeds on the destination blind, circa 1963/4. The third vehicle is a buffet car, all the buffets were allocated to South Gosforth during the yellow panel era. A misty day in early 1991 doesn't do a lot for Tyseley's class 116/101 hybrid set T042 (53863 + 51509) as it comes from the Great Western main line into the local platform with a service from either Dorridge or Leamington Spa. The station here bears some resemblance to one a bit further up the line at Small Heath with a massive building over the up and down main lines, very much a feature of the larger GWR edifices. Both these Birmingham stations now serve only local traffic with no main line trains serving them. Peter Tandy.
