A Derby Class 114 two-car set with No. E56012 leading departs Hull Paragon for Leeds on the evening of 17th April 1979. The unit still has it's 2-character headcode panel and roof headlight. Syd Young.
Class 114 56012 DTC is seen at Doncaster in 1981. It was subsequently renumbered 54012. Note the First class section and South Yorkshire symbol. Andy Cole.
E54012 and E53011 are seen at the site of the former Farnley & Wortley station (Leeds) on the 17th February 1987. Malcolm Clements.
Class 114 54012, set number T228 (with 53021), is seen stabled outside the factory at Tyseley on 02.04.1988. It had been given a spruce up including a red buffer beam. On the right is Class 118 centre car 59481. Andy Cole.
Recently repainted Derby 2 car class 114 DMU E50036 (with BR emblem) and E56012 (with PTE emblem), at Sheffield, 24th February 1981. Paul James.

Carrying Midlline branding on the side, Class 114 53021 (with 54012) is seen outside the factory at Tyseley on 02.04.1988. It was part of set T228, the Tyseley set numbers beginning with '2' indicated a 2 car unit. Andy Cole.
Wilmcote Bank, the 1/73 northbound climb out of Stratford-upon-Avon is the location for this shot of class 114 formed of set T021 (presumably 53021 + 54012) on 28 April 1990. It is on the 17.XX from Stratford-upon-Avon to Leamington Spa and one of the lineside gasholders near Stratford station station is clearly visible in the picture which I took from a convenient farm crossing.
