E59245 on Ayr shed. It was transferred from Heaton to Eastfield in early October 1987, and would initially run between DMSs 52053 + 52059 which had been at Ayr for a few months but would also move to Eastfield. The vehicle has very recently been repainted, but still has an E prefix, perhaps suggesting that the inter-regional move was not planned. The Met-Camm centre car alongside seems to have a scotty dog on the bodyside. Andrew McConnell.

Derby Class 108 (LO612) M51937 & M52053 - Preston Station. A close-up of Class 108 Driving Motor Brake Second (DMBS) M51937 stood in platform 2 at Preston awaiting departure with the 10.23 service to Ormskirk on August 15th 1992. The car had previously been allocated to Landore Depot at Swansea as part of set S937 (with Driving Trailer 52058) during the latter part of 1991, hence the Welsh Dragon emblem on the cab front.
