Class 108/104 DMU set CH371 (52039 + 59155 + 53925) stands at Bleanau Ffestiniog with the Hertfordshire Railtours 'Trawsfynydd Flyer' railtour on August 20, 1989 having just returned back down the freight only branch from Trawsfynydd. This was a photo stop on the return leg of charter 1T16 12.38 Chester-Trawsfynydd-Chester. The tour had started at Euston, loco hauled as far as Chester where passengers transferred to a 7-car DMU formation for the journey to Trawsfynydd. The change of trains was due to weight restrictions on the Conway Valley line and the freight branch to Trawsfynydd.
