Class 108/104 DMU set CH371 (presumably 52039 + 59155 + 53925) arrives into Ruabon station with a Wrexham service, presumably from Shrewsbury, in February 1989. Note the Car 2-4 Stop sign, the font suggests it's from British Railways days. Stuart Mackay Collection.

Class 108/104 DMU set CH371 (52039 + 59155 + 53925) stands at Bleanau Ffestiniog with the Hertfordshire Railtours 'Trawsfynydd Flyer' railtour on August 20, 1989 having just returned back down the freight only branch from Trawsfynydd. This was a photo stop on the return leg of charter 1T16 12.38 Chester-Trawsfynydd-Chester. The tour had started at Euston, loco hauled as far as Chester where passengers transferred to a 7-car DMU formation for the journey to Trawsfynydd. The change of trains was due to weight restrictions on the Conway Valley line and the freight branch to Trawsfynydd. Adrian Nicholls.

BX494 (M51938 + M59386 + M52039) class 108 dmu, part of the Buxton allocation, passes New Mills South Junction with the Summer Sundays only Buxton-New Mills Central - Buxton Peak Rail Ramber service, in this view heading back to Buxton, whilst a pair of 20's pass by with a Tunstead - Northwich working. 14th July 1985. Set BX371 stands at Buxton Station on 30/12/1988. Individual vehicle numbers were not noted at the time, but the leading car of this 3-car set is believed to be 53925 from the damage above the roller blind. The other cars are believed to be 59155 (centre) and 52039 (driving) Robert Hope.
A Class 108/104 three-car hybrid DMU, formed of Class 108 cars M53925 & M52039 with blue liveried Class 104 centre car (TSL) M59155 in the middle, was approaching signal PN491 at Irongate whilst running between Lostock Hall and Bamber Bridge with a Stockport to Carlisle 'Dalesrail' service on May 6th 1989.
