The unusual sight of a Class 100 GRC&W DMBS standing in for a Swindon Cross-Country Class 120 power car. From June to September 1975 Derby Etches Park had two of these Gloucesters from Tyseley - 51112 and 51119 and this is thought to be the latter. Seen at Syston South Junction. Phillip Malin.

A 100/116/116 hybrid DMU in Leicester station with the 16:47 to Nottingham on 23 August 1975. M51110 has a Tyseley set number - possibly TY529 - in the cab window. It had been transferred there from Scotland in May of that year and it would remain there until withdrawal in August 1982 as a space power working in a variety of formations. Phillip Malin.
On 10 September 1975, E56316, new from the Gloucester railway Carriage and Wagon Company in February 1958, is seen departing Norwich for Lowestoft, coupled to a Metro-Cammell class 101 motor coach probably 51207. The "MON 15" notice refers to the unit's next exam date. Jeremy Chapter.

Class 100 DTCL E56317 is seen stabled in a siding at Carmarthen on 22 November 1975 awaiting movement to a new life in preservation on the Gwili Railway. The vehicle had spent just 16 years in service with BR, it would stay on the Gwili Railway for almost 20 years. This was followed by 20 years of storage at a variety of other sites before disposal in 2016. Robert Thomas.
