Norwich set 65 (class 100 Gloucester cars 56100 and 51114) are waiting at Cambridge to form the 10.56 to Ely on 12 September 1975. The "FRI 12" notice in the cab window refers to the unit's next exam date, implying that the set would return to Norwich Crown Point by the end of the day. Jeremy Chapter.

Class 100 DTCL E56317 is seen stabled in a siding at Carmarthen on 22 November 1975 awaiting movement to a new life in preservation on the Gwili Railway. The vehicle had spent just 16 years in service with BR, it would stay on the Gwili Railway for almost 20 years. This was followed by 20 years of storage at a variety of other sites before disposal in 2016. Robert Thomas.

Tyseley Class 116 DMU set TS529 has a Class 100 DMBS (which is possibly M50340) in place of the regular DMBS when seen at Small Heath on 11 June 1976. This was an up local service from Birmingham Moor Street, either the 6.33pm to Leamington or 6.40pm to Stratford-upon-Avon. Michael Mensing.

E56100, at Peterborough on 3/8/76 apparently heading for Norwich. Signs in the cab windows proclaim it's set 45 (the other vehicle appears to be a Cravens). David Underwood adds: "'4 WED' in the windscreen reflects the method by which Norwich Depot advised when the unit was next due for maintenance at Norwich, i.e. the unit had to be placed on a diagram that finished at Norwich on that day." The blind says that E51115 is heading for Bishops Stortford, and signs in the cab proclaim it is set 73, "3 TUE" is thought to be when maintenance was due. Seen at Cambridge on Tuesday 3/8/76, it's paired with a Class 105 vehicle. Ian Francis.

M50356 (and presumably M56111) arrives at Stalybridge with the 14:30 from Stockport (with a tail lamp at this end? maybe changing platforms?) on 31 August 1976. On the left the 12:13 Scarborough-Liverpool Lime Street departs with refurbished liveried E50169 on the rear. Robert Thomas.
