A two car Met-Camm (presumably Dundee-based) calls at Dunkeld & Birnam en route to Blair Atholl. This was probably in the latter days of the local service which ceased in May 1965 - there appears to be a “Withdrawal of Services” notice on the opposite platform. A green liveried DMU calls at the splendid ornate station at Kenilworth, on the Coventry to Leamington line, on 18 January 1965. This was a rebuild of an earlier station and dated from 1884. The station lasted until 18th January 1965 when it closed although the structure remained intact for many years as a builders merchants. Various plans have appeared over the years for a new Kenilworth Station, eventually succeeding. This shot shows a country station with porter, coal trucks in the siding and as many station signs as could be crammed in.
