I think the DMU on this Swansea to Shrewsbury service had failed en-route, and it is seen here in Shrewsbury after arriving behind 25 265 on the 24th of May 1986. A comment by Adrian Nicolls (on flickr): "Looking at the clock which appears to show 14.30 and based on your caption comment. Its the 09.38 ex Swansea due Shrewsbury at 13.49 nothing ties in off the Cambrian line so looks very likely for the Central Wales line train.
