Class 101 E51201 + E54347 towed by 37138 passing Ely North Junction on 10.09.88. The DMU had previously worked 2K11 07.03 Doncaster – Peterborough via The Joint but due to a failure 37138 came to assistance and now running forward as an ECS possibly to Cambridge. Nicholas Youngman.

The Railscot website notes the Gloucester twin on the left will depart at 13.24 on the last through train to North Berwick. About to call at Thornaby Station is a Class 101 Met-Camm DMU formed of 53252 and 51515. I had just paid my £1 which gained me entrance to Thornaby TMD, which you could do in those days, wandering around a large TMD taking photographs etc. AndrewHA.
