A Newton Heath 3-car class 104 DMU set sets off from Manchester Victoria with train 2F07 the 13.20 to Kirkby spewing out clouds of exhaust which was once a common feature of first generation DMU's. On the right stands a 3-car class 120 BR Swindon built Cross Country set waiting to form 2P69 the 13.40 to Blackpool North. September 7, 1984. Adrian Nicholls.
