An almost ex-works Cravens Class 105 Driving Trailer Second Lavatory E56138 was the rear car of a service from North Woolwich, stood at Stratford Low-Level on October 22nd 1979. Martyn Hilbert.
A 105/101/105 DMU set in Haymarket depot on 28 October 1979. Closest is SC51480, a vehicle that spent its whole career in Scotland allocated to Kittybrewster, Leith Central, Hamilton and Haymarket. Within a few months it would become one of the very few 105s to carry blue and grey livery, and would be withdrawn in November 1981. The other two vehicles are presumably 59047 and 51474. Withdrawn Class 105 DMBS Sc51486 on Newton Heath depot on 1 December 1979. Transferred from the ScR to South Gosforth in April 1977 it was placed in store soon after and withdrawn in April 1978. It apparently went to Tyseley for component recovery and to Newton Heath for bogie removal. It would move on scrap bogies for scrapping at Snailwell. Brian Daniels.
