Last Day No.16. Looking west as Cravens triple 105373 accelerates away from Bridge of Weir station towards Kilmacolm on the 13:07 working from Glasgow Central. An old notebook suggests this was DMBS E50384 + DMBS E51301 + DTSL E56464 (nearest to camera). Last Day No.10. Looking west as Cravens triple 105373 enjoys some winter sunshine. It is powering towards Houston and Crosslee station on the 12:01 Kilmacolm - Glasgow Central service. An old notebook suggests this was DMBS E50384 + DMBS E51301 + DTSL E56464 (nearest camera). Sandholes Road crosses the railway in the background and Brookfield is to the left. On the final day of passenger services to Kilmacolm on January 8, 1983, Cravens-built trailer 56464 is at the "Glasgow end", 51301 is in the centre and 50384 at the far end. Jeremy Chapter.
E56464 at the head of a mash-up class 105 unit at Kilmacolm on 8 January 1983, the last day of services on the branch. (It has since been reopened as far as Paisley Canal.) The driving motor second (50384) at the far end also had an "E" prefix to its number but carried an "AY" (Ayr) allocation sticker. The centre car of the formation was 51301. These Cravens-built cars were delivered between 1956 and 1959. Note that station signage has been removed. Jeremy Chapter.

The GNoSR footbridge has boards listing the destinations from the platform, the left side reads "Platform 2 for Elgin, Lossiemouth Inverness and the North". The DMU is in platform 1 and is likely on a service bound for Aberdeen. A third platform off to the left was for the Speyside branch, for several years operated by diesel railbuses to Aviemore. On 04/04/1980 a Class 105 (E56466 + E51283) arrives at Heworth, then a relatively new station which had opened to BR services on 05/11/1979. In the background, catenary masts for the Tyneside Metro system have yet to appear, although services started running to Heworth on 15/11/1981. Graeme Phillips Collection.

A Cravens diesel multiple unit at St Combs station in Aberdeenshire on 19 April 1965, the terminus of the light railway from Fraserburgh which closed just over two weeks later on 5 May. These Kittybrewster allocated sets seemed to keep their original formations, so the DMBS partner to DTCL Sc56467 should be Sc51478. Tom Burnham.

Stood at the former Great Eastern Railway terminus at Felixstowe Town, A Cravens Class 105 two-car DMU formed of Driving Trailer Composite Lavatory (DTCL) E56467 & Driving Motor Brake Second (DMBS) E51265, had arrived with a service from Ipswich on April 28th 1980. Rationalisation had taken place at Felixstowe Town with the track layout reduced to just a single line. The station still had some 1950's British Railways Dark Blue, Eastern Region enamel signs in-situ. Martyn Hilbert.
