From Strathclyde to Fife. Taken from what is now a tram track, we see a Strathclyde red liveried 3 car DMU accelerating away from Haymarket with a Fife service one evening in August 1987. This comprises most of set 107436 (presumably 51997 + 59784), but the rear car has been substituted with a Metro Cammell vehicle. Murray Liston.

107 437 rattles through Waverley Gardens on approach to Edinburgh Waverley. Probably on a working from Glasgow Central via Shotts, circa June 1986. If in the proper formation the vehicles should be 51998 + 59782 + 52021. Roof detail (the centre row of roof vents doesn't go to the rear and no water filler pipe) shows that the DMBS is closest to the camera. Andrew McConnell.

Nice surroundings, G&SWR signal box, semaphore signals, easy (reasonably legal) farm track access and Ayrshire DMUs in full flight. The new A737 has permanently blighted this area.
