Looking along the magnificent cantilever railway bridge which spans the Firth of Forth, between North Queensferry and South Queensferry, as a Strathclyde liveried Derby Heavyweight class 107 dmu 107429 (52023 + 59795 + 51989) passes us by with a north bound working on 8th July 1987. Known as the Forth Bridge the bridge is designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is a symbol of Scotland. Andrew J Crowther.

Class 107 (set 429, presumably 52023 + 59795 + 51989) Dunfermline Aug 1987. By this time it was a case of "anything goes". This class was never common on Fife Circle workings and definitely not in SPT orange livery but by then the corporate identity manual had more or less been abandoned. Alistair Ness.

Two sets near Girvan with a northbound service on 7th August 1985. The leading has had the 432 removed from the set number, it would probably mean this is 52026. It seems to be a 107/107/possibly 104 formation. John Crooks.
