A well filled Derby class 107 set 425 (52028 + 59797 + 51985) drifts downhill into Dunfermline (Lower) station in March 1988 with a service for Edinburgh, probably from Cowdenbeath. Murray Liston.

Leaving for Larbert. Derby class 107 set 425 is seen rasping away from Stirling with an Edinburgh bound service in March 1988, with a Met Camm 101 in the background. This set (SC52028 + SC59797 + SC51985) continued in service for another couple of years before being converted to a departmental Sandite set for a final year before withdrawal. Murray Liston.

The class 107 d.m.u.s were based in Scotland for all their working lives, and, together with the Metro-Cammell class 101s, formed most Ayrshire passenger services form the demise of the Swindon built class 126 in 1981 until electrification in September 1986.
