Having just arrived from Corby, Network SouthEast liveried Derby built Class 108 DMU 54194 + 51916, is now on the Midland Main Line at Kettering, and will soon be returning to Corby on 2nd June 1990. A Leeds Neville Hill Depot allocated Class 108 with Driving Trailer Second Lavatory (TRSL) E54195 leading, was stood at Parbold with a Southport to Manchester Victoria service on October 4th 1986. The rear car has West Yorkshire PTE 'MetroTrain' branding, and judging by the destination blind the unit had been 'borrowed' at Manchester for the trip to the seaside and back. Martyn Hilbert.

With its first class saloon downgraded to second, Class 108 Driving Trailer Second Lavatory (DTSL) and Motor Brake Second 53606, were stood in the carriage sidings at Southport on August 29th 1988. 54196 had an unusually small BR emblem that looked as though it was part of a West Yorkshire PTE logo without the 'Metro Train' branding. A two-car Class 108 at Kirkby Stephen in March 1989. The DTSL closest carries set number N615 and so is likely to be 54196 transferred from Newton Heath to Neville Hill that month, presumably with DMBS 53606. George Woods.
