A hybrid DMU set, with cars 51859/59600/51144, at Coventry on a service to Stoke on 18 February 1993. I think this train was routed via Bedworth to Nuneaton and then via the WCML to its destination. It carries a set number of T321 (Tyseley). Lewis Bevan.

On 2 May 1993 Pathfinder ran a mini-railtour in connection with an open day at Worcester using 20138+20066. The 2 locos were, unusually, hauling two 4-car DMUs, T404 (51853+59735+59604+53919) + T412 (51860+59591+59446+53116) which ran from Birmingham New Street to Worcester via the Lickey incline, and then on to Hereford and back via Great Malvern. The first of four shots was taken as train slowed for the junction at Stoke Prior before it turned onto the single line to Droitwich and Worcester. Peter Tandy.

The second of four shots was taken after a quick drive down to Ashchurch with a couple of minutes to spare. It is interesting to note that the trees on the up side of the line were still quite small in 1993. They subsequently grew very tall and were felled in 2004. Peter Tandy.

This was the final shot of four of the tour - no longer in full sun which infuriated some of the more vocal enthusiasts - but still quite an acceptable shot. It is the classic view at Stoke Edith which I expect is now so overgrown as to be unusable. Peter Tandy.

A two-car suburban set, with a Class 115 DMBS, near Stenson Junction on 4 September 1993 on what I took to be a Nottingham to Birmingham New Street service. The picture was taken from a footpath near the freight-only Sheet Stores line while I was looking for a different viewpoint from the usual spot on the farm bridge near the junction. Peter Tandy.

Vehicle 51656 was delivered new to Cricklewood East Depot in April 1960 but had spells at Trafford Park and Allerton Depots before moving back south to Marylebone in June 1961 where it stayed until the depot closed and units were moved to Bletchley in 1988. It was transferred on paper from Bletchley to Old Oak on 21/1/92 but the move never took place and it remained allocated to Bletchley for a few more months before being withdrawn on 17/12/92. Like many of its type it ended up dragged to South Wales after being sold to Gwent Demolition Ltd for disposal. The company used sidings in the Margam Yard complex to break up many former Network SouthEast multiple units. It arrived on 6/4/93 and after being torched by vandals lingered a further two years before the inevitable when it was finally cut up on 30/6/95. It is seen here on 23 September 1994. Adrian Nicholls.
