Kings Sutton was a charming little station south of Banbury, it retained a GWR wayside halt feel to it then along came Network South East. Not content with installing enough station lights to land a 747 at night they then painted everything they could lay brush on the brightest red they could find at Wimbledon B&Q. Of course the station users still had to cross the busy main line on a curve to access the northbound platform, not that many did use the station then, the partially dirt surfaced car park only has a grubby Ford Cortina and the authors BMW K100 bike in it. This was the pre-Chiltern era and the train is a collection of Network South East DMUs lead by Class 115 51893 (presumably paired with 54257) working the 10.20 Banbury - Marylebone. 17/03/1990.
