A work-weary looking class 115 DMBS no. 51889 leading a 4-car set including a class 108 driving trailer (54499) in place of one of the normal trailers, with 59747 and 51671. The set is seen on 9/Jun/1991 leaving the, for a class 115, relatively unusual location of Paddington with the rear power car making quite a smokey departure. A three-car Class 115 - the first two vehicles being M51892 + 59724 - with the SYPTE-liveried Class 114 53045 + 54004 on the rear passes New Mills South Box at 10:45 on 27 September 1985. Tyseley's set T420, a mixed class 115/116/127 formation with class 115 DMBS 51892 on the rear of class 116 TS 59032, class 127 TSL 59607 and class 116 DMS 53092, passes through a dull and rainy Aston station on 16/Feb/1991. Robert Chilton.
Four coach DMU sets were relatively unusual at Stratford-upon-Avon but on 26 April 1991 set T420 (presumably 51892 + 59032 + 59607 + 53092) visited the terminus with an afternoon arrival from Birmingham Moor Street. The white and red lights on the front of the unit shows that it was about to shunt into platform 2 to allow a Leamington Spa service to use platform 1. Peter Tandy.
