Question still under consideration by Messrs.Gould and Read.
Noted - that the question of design has been taken up with the B.T.C. and they are in communication with Messrs.Craven, who have indicated they can adapt their design to meet our requirements, and discussions are proceeding. Mr.Stanley said it was not considered practicable to build the vehicles at Derby and it was agreed that this order for Derby Works be cancelled and three standard passenger vehicles be built in substitution. Mr.Varley to agree allocation of these units with Messrs.Stanley, Gould and Read.
The Chairman said the B.T.C. would be pressed for early delivery of the vehicles from Messrs.Craven having regard to the fact that a net saving of £11,600 p.a. can be made in the West Cumberland area by the use of the diesel parcel vans.
Noted - Minutes of meeting held on August 10th re side pits and fume extractors.
