(iv) Cleanliness of toilets - The Pullman Car Company intent to use linen towels supplemented by paper towels rather than Towelmasters, and Mr.Arkle would arrange for used paper towels to be removed at terminals.
(v) Ash Trays - Would be emptied by L.M.R. staff at London, Leicester and Manchester.
(vi) Supply of soap and toilet paper - Pullman Car Co. would supply liquid soap for soap dispensers, an toilet paper.
(vii) Indication of lavatories - It had been agreed that no allocation would be made between sexes, and Mr.Randle was arranging for inscriptions on doors to be removed.
(viii) Ventilation grille on lavatories - Stated to be causing a discomforting draught, and Mr.Randle was giving the matter attention.
(ix) General cleanliness - Mr.Arkle has given an assurance that no effort would be spared to keep the train in immaculate condition, and there is liason with the Pullman Car Company on this.
Noted that provision had been made for parking space for 20 cars and estimates of the cost of extending the accomodation, if found necessary, were being prepared.
