The Chairman, before dealing with the Agenda, explained that this would be
his last meeting as Chairman of the Committee and introduced Mr.F.L. Lambert as his
successor. He welcomed Mr. W.P. Beatty as a member of the Committee and congratulated
him on his new appointment, and thanked Mr. R.L. M'Ilmoyle, who had been attending for the
Assistant Chief Engineer, for the valuable assistance he had given.

824. GENERAL MATTERS OF POLICY
1. Position of Schemes still to be
submitted
Noted that:-
(a) Manchester Part IV scheme costing on the revised basis showing the
net revenue position of the service, excluding parcels receipts and parcel
terminal costs as assessment of the former awaited the count of parcels to be
held in January, had nearly been completed by the Accountant.
Particulars would be furnished to the Operating and Commercial
Officers shortly to enable them to review the position pending receipt of the
parcels information.
