The 5.50pm Worcester Shrub Hill - Stratford-upon-Avon service is seen at Stoulton on 24 August 1963. DMS 50104 leads, the power cars are unlined but the centre car is, suggesting this may not be the regular formation for set 304? Michael Mensing.
M50059 leads Tyseley Derbys suburban triple set 304 on the 6.3pm Stratford-upon-Avon - Honeybourne service which had just passed over the Evesham Road level crossing at Stratford-upon-Avon and is approaching Sanctus Road overbridge. May 1964. Michael Mensing.
Derby high density triple set 304 at Lapworth in June 1964. Michael Mensing.
Seen at Evesham in August 1964, the photographer has noted this as a Worcester - Stratford-upon-Avon service despite the Leamington destination blind. It is formed of set 304 with N50059 leading. Michael Mensing.
Derby suburban triple set 304 seen at Widney Manor with a Leamington service in early August 1964. DMBS 50059 leads, presumably with 59004 + 50104. The set would become TY504 and then TS504, retaining the same vehicles until 1983 when Class 127 TSL 59610 replaced 59004 as a means of reducing the number of vehicles containing asbestos. Michael Mensing.
A Derby suburban triple set at Solihull on 28 August 1964, with Knowle on the destination blind. The set number in the cab window could be 304, meaning DMS 50104 is closest. Michael Mensing.
51784 - which still appears to have the luggage rack lights on - and 59684 after derailing at Oyne in May 1978. Alan Rintoul.
Derailment near Oyne (Aberdeen - Inverness line), 12/5/78, following a lorry crashing into a bridge. Class 120 Set 304 containing DMS 51793 (left, on rails), TBS 59684 (centre, half on half off) and DMBC 51784 (right, on side). Scotpix courtesy of Peter Mullen.

Class 120 centre car Sc59684 derailed at Oyne on 20 May 1978, the result of a bridge bash a few days earlier. It would be returned to traffic. Alistair Ness.

Class 120 centre car Sc59684 it recovered after derailing at Pitcaple, near Oyne, believed to be taken on Sunday May 21, 1978. Aberdeen Press and Journal.
A freshly-outshopped class 120 set - 51790 (leading)/59681/51782 - stands at the eastern end of St Rollox works yard on Sunday 10.9.78, awaiting departure back to Inverness the following day. Note that, unlike some of the others of its kind at Inverness, the DMBC retains its second class seating area ahead of the guard's van and has not had it converted to mail and parcels space. Notice too that the buffet is both labelled as such on the coach side and carries a red stripe above the buffet windows - not so common on DMU's. Leonard Rogers.
Two class 120 dmus at Inverness after arrival from Aberdeen on 7/10/78. Set 304 is recently ex-works in blue and grey, the other set is still in all-over blue. The closest vehicle, DMS SC51790, has an opening 'stretcher' window as the first passenger window. Stephen Burdett.
Set 304 (presumably 51782 + 59681 + 51790) in the snow at Inverness in 1979. John Law.
In a snowy Inverness stands class 120 set 304 (51790, presumably with 59681 + 51782) and used on the Aberdeen service in February 1979. The closest vehicle, 51790, has a 'stretcher' window. Ian Buck.

Class 120 DMBF SC51784 in Glasgow Works on 6 April 1980. It had been placed in store after the Oyne derailment in May 1978 and would be withdrawn in December 1980 and would linger for a number of more years before being cut. Stuart Mackay Collection.
Scrapper. BREL Glasgow Works. Class 120 DMBF Sc51784 (Set 304) lying in the sidings at the east end of St. Rollox. It's sandwiched between a condemned 303 EMU and an old departmental coach from a wiring train. Railcar suggests this vehicle was derailed in 1978 after a road vehicle struck a rail over bridge at Oyne, Aberdeenshire. Undated negative but probably circa 1985. alicia hartman.
Withdrawn 51784 - a victim on a derailment at Oyne in 1978 - awaits its fate in Glasgow Works. Date unknown. Mike Bunker.
Scrapper. BREL Glasgow Works and Class 120 DMBF Sc51784. The vehicle is in all blue, the passenger door has a '1' for First Class and the yellow cantrail stripe has faded. Oval buffers at this end but 'cut' buffers at the cab end. It seems that the engines and most of the underframe equipment has been removed. This seems to be one of the ScR vehicles with the extended brake van, converted from a DMBC - see elsewhere on Railcar. The building with the roller shutter may have been for asbestos removal and perhaps the vehicle is awaiting stripping prior to scrapping? Photo circa Spring 1986. alicia hartman.
Scrapper. BREL Glasgow Works and Class 120 DMBF Sc51784 from Set 304 awaiting its fate. Railcar suggests this vehicle was damaged in a derailment in 1978 after a road vehicle struck a rail over bridge at Oyne (between Inverurie and Insch). Photo circa Spring 1986. alicia hartman.
