E50595 leads a BRCW set having arrived at the old Felixstowe station on 10th September 1978. This had been an Eastern Region set from new until 1982 when it was reallocated to Longsight, but lasted less than 2 years there before withdrawal. Murray Liston.
Norwich DMU set 78 with Class 104 E56188 closest in platform 2 of Cambridge station with a service to Ely circa 1977. It is probably paired with E50595. Stuart Mackay Collection.
There was little over one year to go for the passenger services on the GN-GE joint line from March when 'hybrid' Birmingham R.C.W-Cravens unit E50595-E56139 was forming a March to Spalding service at Whitemoor Junction on 28 September 1981.
