Class 108 DMBS 51910, set number TS201, is seen stabled at Tyseley on 03.05.1986 with Class 101 DTS 54361. Note the Greater Manchester symbol on the side. Andy Cole.
In Longbridge station on 28 June 1986 is Class 108/101 set TS201 (presumably 51910 + 54361) with 55002 attached in the down platform with a service from Four Oaks to Redditch. A 6 coach class 116 led by T624 heads towards Birmingham New Street at high(ish!) speed on the up through road. I don't know the working but assume that it was one of the infrequent Cheltenham to Birmingham trains or possibly a service from Hereford to Birmingham New Street via Bromsgrove. Peter Tandy.
Three twin sets (TS201, presumably 51910 + 54361) are seen in platform 3 at Stratford after a proving run from Birmingham on 16 August 1986. They were about to return as ECS to Tyseley before entering normal service. Peter Tandy.
C902 contains two Class 108 DMBSs and a Met-Camm centre car (presumably 51910 + 59570 + 53941) 0when seen at Cilmery. Undated. Tom Clift.

A good illustration of the Welsh markings that began to be applied in 1985. This is 51910 seen at Swindon station on the 30th July 1987. Malcolm Clements.

Class 108 unit S953 taken at Swansea Landore on the afternoon of Sunday 17th October 1987, with DMBS 51910 closest, 52037 behind. Nigel Curtis.
After being involved in an Incident near Llandeilo on the 18th October 1987, in which, whilst working the 0525 Swansea - Shrewsbury it became derailed on a damaged bridge and dropped into the river below. Landore allocated W51910 a DMBS from set S953 awaits cutting up at Pantyfynnon Sdgs. A fate that has already befell Its partner W52037. 24th April 1988. Nigel Mack.
A Class 101/108 Hybrid Two-Car DMU formed of cars M54052 & M51910 was departing from Croston with a Preston to Ormskirk service on September 28th 1985. Martyn Hilbert.
A two-car Class 101/108 DMU with Driving Trailer Second Lavatory (DTSL) M54052 leading, presumably with 51910, was accelerating away from the single line token exchange at Midge Hall, whilst working a Preston to Ormskirk service on September 29th 1985. The home signal on the Down Line, controlled from the 'box at Midge Hall, is the only semaphore still extant in the Preston area. Martyn Hilbert.
Set TS201 (54361 + 51910) at Tyseley on May 3, 1986. Class 116 DMBS M53078 is on the right. Andy Cole.
Given the number of trains on the Birmingham Cross City Line and the reliability problems being suffered by Tyseley depot it is hardly surprising that quite a few mixed-up sets were around. In 28 June 1986 T201 formed of classes 101 and 108 (presumably 54361 + 51910) along with class 121 55002 was about to stop at Longbridge with a service from Four Oaks to Redditch. Peter Tandy.
