Class 104 BRCW 2-car DMU 53525+53473 with white body stripe waits to depart Blackpool North for Manchester Victoria 29-8-83. On Tour With the Class 13 Army.
Another grey day at Kilwinning Stn, on the Largs line. A BRCW Class 104/Met-Camm hybrid (53525 closest) departs on 17/7/84. David Christie.
53525 on the rear of a Dunblane service at Falkirk Grahamston on the 30th September 1984. The centre car is presumably 59559 and the other power car is 53473, labeled set 104 451. Hamish Stevenson.
Ayr Variety. Largs station and an Ayr allocated BRCW Class 104 DMS Sc53525 is sitting at Platform 3. A Class 116 is visible in the background in the siding adjacent to Platform 1. However, the centre road has been lifted and is probably in advance of full scale track rationalisation and electrification. Probably January / February 1985. alicia hartman.
Class 104 DMS SC53525 at Ayr depot on the 31st March 1985. Jerry Glover.
A DMU line-up in Haymarket depot on March 9, 1986. On the left is a Class 107, in the middle 101307 (presumably with 53189 closest) and on the right a Class 104 with 53525 closest. Hamish Stevenson.
Ayr Variety. Platform 11 at Glasgow Central High Level with motley six car DMU departing for the Ayrshire coast. An old note book suggests the leading BRCW Triple is M53473 DMBSL (White Stripe) + Sc59789 (107 TSL) + M53525 DMCL (White Stripe and yellow First Class cantrail stripe) as seen at Central on 19/01/1984. The rear lash up is probably MC DMB E53207 + BRCW DMC M53510 + MC DMS E54088, previously seen at Ayr. Three manufacturers / vehicle types, all blue, blue with white stripe, blue - grey ... and 'first class'. Variety, indeed! A rotten photograph, but then again, possibly a rotten journey for commuters in vehicles past their best. Friday 27 January 1984. alicia hartman.
53473 leads 104 451 into Falkirk Grahamston station with a Dunblane service on the 30th September 1984. The rear car is 53525, the centre car is probably 59559. Hamish Stevenson.
