A Met-Camm Class 111 DMU led by E51554 passing the site of Bowling station with the 13:10 Leeds - Todmorden - Manchester Victoria service on 19 April 1976. Michael Mensing.
A three-car Metro-Cammell Class 111 diesel set coupled to a Class 108 twin are seen at Kelloe Bank Foot in County Durham on 27 September 1980 during the RCTS "North Eastern No 5" rail tour. For the three-car the centre car is noted on Six Bells Junction as Class 101 59529, the power cars are likely 51554 + 51546. Jeremy Chapter.
Supposedly allocated to Yorkshire services, cars E78716 E78966 are illustrated away from their usual sphere of operation at Wigan Wallgate, with this service from Wigan Wallgate to Southport in 1984. Graeme Phillips Collection.
