A two-car Cravens DMU departs from Marks Tey station with a Chelmsford service on 21 March 1959 led by Cambridge allocated E56440. Michael Mensing.
The M&GNJRS East Anglian Branch Farewell railtour passes Somersham on 4th March 1967 which was the last day of passenger services on the line. The Cravens DMU has E56440 leading, the Six Bells Junction website notes the DMBS as E51279. John Clark / Adrian Sutterby Collection.
The RCTS Kesteven Ironstone Branches railtour at Stainby sidings on 15 April 1972. The tour started at Grantham and a Hull Botanic Gardens Cravens DMU was used - closest is DTCL E56440 and the Six Bells Junction website notes the DMBS as E50381. Stuart Mackay Collection.
Class 105 DTSL E56440 and Class 101 DMBS E51216 at Stockton. Middlesbrough seems to be on the destination blind, this was likely taken when it was allocated to South Gosforth / Heaton - April 1978 to May 1982, probably circa December 1981. Paul Redmond.
This pair of recently repainted dmus make a pleasant scene standing at the south end of York station on my visit of July 2nd 1982. Norwich based twin sets could turn up just about anywhere it seemed and here Cravens Class 105 set 54 formed of E56440 + E51279 is on the left having arrived as the 10.37 from Sheffield. Derby built set E50618 + E56190 has come in from Doncaster. Gerard Fletcher.

Bufferstop scene at a tidy looking Lowestoft station on 18th August 1983. 31229 has arrived with the daily freight from Norwich, while the Cravens dmu, E51279 + E56440 (set 54) is awaiting departure as the 13.06 to Norwich. Gerard Fletcher.

Keith has noted Class 105 Departmental DMU TDB977453, DMUs 53026, 54026, 54039 and 53005 in this view of Lincoln depot on 12 July 1987. In the platform on the left are the two departmental 100s: 975539 + 975349 and 975637 + 975664; it looks like the Cravens is next in that line, presumably its partner is 977454. Keith Miller.
