Lincoln allocated Cravens class 105 dmu made up of cars E51284 + E54442, enter Buxworth cutting, with Sheffield on it's blind, is returning from New Mills Central with a Hope Valley stopping service on 29th November 1985. Not a particularly good photograph by any means, but one of the few i have of this class being Eastern region allocated, they worked the local services through the Hope Valley and terminated at New Mills Central. BX489 (M51569 + M59207 + M53932) part of the Buxton allocation is a 1960 built Derby Lightweight dmu, with its class 104 TSL center car, passes through Buxworth cutting with the Summer Sundays only Buxton - New Mills Central-Buxton Peak Rail Ramber service, in this view heading back to Buxton. 21st July 1985. 1983
Passing through Buxworth cutting heading up towards Chinley on the Hope Valley line, is a Hull Botanic Gardens (BG) based 1960 Swindon built class 123 Trans Pennine dmu with a Manchester Piccadilly-Hull Paragon service in 1983. These units were all taken out of service in May of the following year and their duties taken over by class 31/4 locomotive hauled services. Andrew J Crowther.
