Two Norwich based 2 car Metro-Cammell sets rolls into the terminus station at Cromer, with a Norwich - Sheringham service, on the predominately 30 mile single track branch, here the train will reverse before continuing its journey to Sheringham, 10th August 1987. The signalman can be seen crossing the line back to his box, which closed in 2000 and was the last M&GN example, having just collected the single line token from the driver, the box is now a museum. The site of the former Cromer Junction which gave access to Cromer High, the first station in the town which opened in 1877, Cromer High was closed to passengers in 1954 and freight in 1960. Here we see a Norwich allocated Cravens class 105 dmu made up of cars E54125 + E53373, with a Sheringham-Norwich service, which calls at Cromer (Beach) and as the name implies is far more conveniently situated in the town. 22nd August 1985.
