A Met-Camm/GRC&W hybrid passing the site of the current South Gyle station on 18 September 1967. Edinburgh Waverley is on the destination blind. The DMCL is in the darker Loco Green with revised lining, the centre car is in the lighter DMU green with original lining - both have cream first class stripes. The Gloucester DMBS is in an early version of blue livery, with the BR arrow on the car door and only a yellow panel, not a full yellow end. Stuart Mackay Collection.

A local resident watches with interest the unusual sight of a train at the closed station of Denny. The occasion was a tour by the Rail Society of Scotland on 18 October 1969 which had a Metro Cammell DMU with SC51467 as the DMBS. The destination blind shows Glasgow Buchanan Street - earlier on it showed 'Montrose' for some strange reason! Colin Kirkwood.

Last ever train from Woodside. Sunday 5th November 1967. I think the final Chester General to Woodside dep Chester at 2308 and arr at Woodside 2335. This info is from the April 1966 to March 1967 WTT. I don't suppose it changed much up to November. The ECS is leaving Woodside presumably for Mollington Street. Corstorphine station on th elast day of passenger operation - 30 December 1967. The Railscot website notes the Gloucester twin on the left will depart at 13.24 on the last through train to North Berwick. The two Met-Camms on the right (set 73, looks like SC50290 closest, and 67) will form the last passenger train from the station, the 13.36 (SO) to Edinburgh Waverley. Stuart Mackay Collection.
